Jambo!

/jahm•boh/ swahili for “hello”

Village Life Outreach Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Cincinnati, Ohio whose mission is to unite communities to promote Life, Health and Education. We work in partnership with three remote villages in the Rorya district of Tanzania, East Africa to design and implement projects to fight poverty and improve lives while bringing important lessons of love, humanity, and community to our own friends and neighbors.

Sustainable Impact

Sustainable impact is what sets Village Life apart as an organization. The only way our programs are successful long-term is if the local communities in Tanzania can sustain them. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with these communities to provide a “hand-up” rather than a “hand-out” by providing knowledge and resources necessary for self-sufficiency.

There’s no one-size-fits-all way to get involved with Village Life. The work we do is felt halfway around the world and makes an impact on hundreds of students and volunteers from the Cincinnati area and beyond. Our success depends on a diverse set of talents and resources.
